Mobile Phone Repairing 

 Sri Lanka has an advanced, dynamic and fast growing cellular phone industry with a fast growing mobile phone market. The need for mobile phone repairing has become an essential part in day to day life. This course is designed to discuss the mobile phone hardware and software, starting from basics to chip level testing. The course aims at covering the theory and practices behind mobile phone repairing. The course also discusses general electronic components, characteristics. The practical sessions are tailored to give the participants hands on experience of theory covered in lectures.

  Syllabus

• Basics of mobile communication (Basically covers up to 4G technology)
• Introduction to general electronic components & their characteristics.
• Introduction to electronic components used inside the mobile phones.
• Basics of a SIM card & its functions.
• Tools and instruments used in mobile phone repairing (Opening Tools and Tweezers, Soldering and Desoldering Tools, Muti Testers, SMD Rework Stations, DC Power Supplies, Cleaning Kits, Reballing Kits, Working Table Equipments)
• Basic types of mobile phones & parts of a mobile phone (microphone, speaker, buzzer, LCD, antenna, Vibra motor, keypad, battery etc.)
• Assembling and disassembling of different mobile phones
• Basic circuit introduction using different schematics.
• Fault finding and trouble shooting.
• Repairing procedure for different hardware faults.
• Soldering and de`-soldering techniques including B G A reballing practice
• Phone flashing and unlocking of different mobile phones (Covers Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Chinese Mobiles etc.)
